BHCA to Talk Public Schools Feb. 27. As posted in the Beacon Hill Times

February 14, 2012
By
One important aspiration envisioned by the many community members who put together the BHCA Plan for the Neighborhood is that Beacon Hill be a place where families of all ages and financial capacities thrive. Working with surrounding neighborhoods to strengthen public K-12 education is one critical element in making this aspiration a reality.
Toward this end, the BHCA invites those who are interested in talking about the Boston Public Schools to a meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 27, at 74 Joy Street. It will be an opportunity to discuss what can be done to provide better experiences for children. The meeting will be led by BHCA board members Colin Zick and Rob Whitney.
For more information, contact the BHCA at info@bhcivic.org.

North Zone Open House Schedules

Hi Everyone,
Here is the list of all the North Zone Schools and the open houses that are still available.  Many of the schools will also show you around if you call and ask to come in.

I have two girls at the Warren Prescott in Charlestown, and many others have kids in other schools like the Eliot, Quincy, and then private and parochial schools including St. John's, the Advent, Learning Project, Fesenden, Milton Academy, and many others.

Maybe the best thing to do, is for us to have a West End Parent's Group gathering, and parents can talk to each other and ask questions. I will try to arrange a date in January. Please let me know if you would be interested in this kind of event.

Please try and attend the open houses to get a feel for the school that you are interested in!
