Apartment Building, where visitors operate wheels to move George from window to window using a pulley, climb a fire escape and go inside the apartment to play with color, light, and shadow.

Sidewalk Produce Stand, where visitors pretend to be a customer or salesperson and explore shape, sorting, weighing, and counting with fruit and vegetables.

Construction Site, where visitors climb in a construction trailer, design a building, and use a variety of building materials to construct different structures.

City Park, where visitors enjoy the urban green space by resting or giving a hug to a full-size George.

Mini Golf, where visitors use pipes, ramps, funnels, turntables, bumpers, and force to experiment with physics and engineering as they putt through three holes of mini golf.

Space Rocket, where visitors climb into the rocket Curious George took on his space adventure and catch a glimpse of George in his space suit.

Farm, where visitors experience cause and effect and use wind power to move yard art like whirligigs, windmills, windsocks, and wind chimes. They can also build their own whirligig and care for farm animals.

The Friends of the Phillips Street Play Area (PSPA) is hosting a Book Fair and Bake Sale for the entire family to enjoy on May 23, 2010 from 11:00am until 4:00pm at the PSPA (behind #19 Phillips Street) on Beacon Hill. They will be selling used books, cd's and dvd's for adults and children in an effort to raise money to pay for events at the Phillips Street Park this summer. These programs include a Science in the Park series, concert series, readings and other fun activities for children and adults. If you have books, cd's and/or dvd's that you would like to donate to the sale (great reason to clean out your house and make some space), drop off dates have been scheduled for all items at the Vilna Shul (#18 Phillips Street) on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, May 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 or 21 from 10:00am until 5:00pm.
