The Friends of the Phillips Street Play Area (PSPA) is hosting a Book Fair and Bake Sale for the entire family to enjoy on May 23, 2010 from 11:00am until 4:00pm at the PSPA (behind #19 Phillips Street) on Beacon Hill. They will be selling used books, cd's and dvd's for adults and children in an effort to raise money to pay for events at the Phillips Street Park this summer. These programs include a Science in the Park series, concert series, readings and other fun activities for children and adults. Along with the book sale, there will be a bake sale and lemonade stand to be run by some of the neighborhood children. In the event of rain, the book fair will take place on the same date and time at the Vilna Shul which is directly across the street at #18 Phillips Street.

If you have books, cd's and/or dvd's that you would like to donate to the sale (great reason to clean out your house and make some space), drop off dates have been scheduled for all items at the Vilna Shul (#18 Phillips Street) on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, May 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 or 21 from 10:00am until 5:00pm. If these dates and times do not work for you, please contact Marcy Alexrad at 617-448-7490 or Cindy Sullivan at 617-785-9458 so that we can accommodate your schedule. Also, if you need assistance with the drop off of books, this can also be arranged.
